Logan Public Transit
Our Story
In 2007, the City of Logan in Hocking County almost lost their public transit system because the contractor operating the system was not in compliance with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) regulations. After working with City officials, ODOT and the Hocking County Transportation Coalition, Hocking Athens Perry Community Action began operating Logan Public Transit (LPT) system. Since July of 2007 LPT has provided a critical service in the City of Logan. Patrons use LPT to access quality of life services such as medical services, employment, education, recreation and retail stores. For many, LPT is their sole source of transportation. While some need has been met, many county and city residents still face transportation barriers. Logan Public Transit is dedicated to better serving patrons by expanding our services and continues to work toward that end.
